Whose the best player in the NBA?

I don't know the answer to who the best player in the league this season is, but I do know whose in the conversation. Let's go youngest to oldest. Kevin Durant is possibly the league's brightest young star and he may not have even developed his game fully yet. LeBron James is quite simply the most gifted athlete I've ever seen play in person. Since coming into the league as an 18 year old rookie nine years ahe has never averaged less than 21 points per game and he is the most giftedly passing 'big men' since Magic.
